Welcome!   The Arlington School Of Music, established in 1936, offers music and vocal instruction in Arlington Heights, Illinois and the surrounding areas. We offer private instruction for beginners through advanced, classical and popular, concert performing teachers, brass, strings, woodwinds, piano, guitar, voice, and percussion instruments. Through our program of focused teaching utilizing video taped lessons, which our students can then take home to study, our students learn the joy of performing beautiful music. Instrumentally and vocally, many learn to perform or sing like a star. Each instructor is a concert artist and performs regularly at well-known venues in and around the Chicago area. Many have performed both nationally and internationally. Nico Angel, the third generation school director for the past twenty years, has over forty years of professional performing experience. Instruments taught: Guitar (Classical, Electric, Jazz, Blues, Rock and Roll, Folk and Modern) Guitar (Flamenco Guitar in the style of Sabicas and Paco de Lucia) Piano (Classical and Improvisational) Electronic Keyboard (Jazz, Blues, Rock and Roll, and Religious) Violin and Viola (Classical and Contemporary) All Brass Instruments (Trumpet, Trombone, Coronet, Picallo, Tuba) All Woodwind Instruments (Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet) All Reed instruments Mandolin and Harmonica All Percussion (Classical and Modern styles) All Percussion (Jazz, Blues, and Rock and Roll) Voice and Choral Training (Sing Like A Star) (Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock and Roll, Religious, Broadway Style and Contemporary) We now offer BAGPIPES from the "Emerald Society Bagpipe and Drum Corps" of Chicago.
