Linda Hergarten received her bachelor’s and master’s of music at the Robert Schumann Conservatory in Düsseldorf, Germany. During her studies she focused on both conventional opera literature and pop music and was able to take master classes with renowned opera singers such as Grace Bumbry and Emma Kirkby, and opera director Gerd Uecker. While studying at the conservatory Linda discovered the music of Kurt Weill, which had a significant impact on her, inspiring her to create a stage performance based on his works.

Besides that show, she has created several stage performances for children’s choir and Soloists. Linda is also a founding member of the vocal quartet “Die Tonjuwelen,” that performs the music of the 20s and 30s.

Linda appeared as a guest at the Deutschen Oper am Rhein and the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen and joined several opera festivals in Germany. She is a two-time prize winner of the Chamber Opera Schloss Rheinsberg and reached the finals at the “Bundeswettbewerb Gesang” twice (a German singing competition in Berlin), where she worked with acclaimed directors and conductors, such as Marco Arturo Marelli and Justus Frantz.
Furthermore, she was a recipient of the YEHUDI MENUHIN Live Music Now scholarship.

Linda took part in several recordings, with the German Broadcasting Orchestra (aired in the WDR4 radio in 2015), with the German punk band “Die Toten Hosen” (CD and DVD release in 2015) and “Bowie Songs One”, the songs of David Bowie unplugged (CD release in 2017).

In addition to her classical background, Linda enjoys singing a wide variety of styles and is passionate towards creative crossover projects. Her others skills include acting, dancing, and show development/production.
