Arlington Heights School of Music's Master Flute, Piccolo, Saxophone, and Piano Instructor
Introducing Arlington Heights School of Music's new flute instructor, Robert, an experienced and passionate music teacher with a Master of Music degree from DePaul University. Robert is dedicated to inspiring students to achieve their musical goals and fostering a lifelong love for music. His journey in music education began with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1973, followed by a Master's in 1974, both from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
Since 1975, Robert has been a Flute, Piccolo, Saxophone, and Piano Instructor, working with students of all levels and ages. In addition to flute and piano, he also teaches piccolo, and saxophone, further expanding his ability to cater to diverse student needs. He has developed personalized lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, helping them prepare for recitals, competitions, and auditions. His teaching experience includes positions as a Flute, Piccolo, Saxophone, and Piano Instructor at several esteemed high schools, including New Trier High School, Rolling Meadows High School, Barrington High School, Highland Park High School, and Deerfield High School from 1975 to 1979.
In addition to teaching, Robert has enjoyed a vibrant career as a pianist, performing at various venues such as Marios Mondo Café in Glenview, IL, Cy’s Steak & Seafood, and Matty’s Wayside Inn. His experience extends to playing at weddings, bar mitzvahs, Christmas events, and art fairs, showcasing his versatility and love for performance.
Throughout his career, Robert has been honored with the Phi Gamma Mu Honors at DePaul University in 1974 and has seen many of his students win awards and scholarships to prestigious music schools such as Oberlin, Indiana University, and the Eastman School of Music. His commitment to high-quality music education continues to drive his passion for teaching and performing.
